HOMELESS CENSUS!

JANUARY 31, 2019

WHAT: Volunteers are needed to count homeless persons living on the street and other locations within their communities.

WHENThe count will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2019 approx. between 4:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

WHEREVolunteers are needed to count in all areas of Monterey and San Benito Counties.

WHYInformation collected from the count is required to continue receiving federal funding for homeless programs, to develop strategies to end homelessness, and to help individuals and families who are in need.

Volunteers will form teams and deploy from various locations throughout Monterey and San Benito Counties. The data collected during the Homeless Census provides a Point-In-Time snapshot as to what the homeless population in our community looks like during a single, 24-hour period to help community planners better address the issue.
