During the early morning hours of January 31st, the Coalition of Homeless Services Providers led the biennial Homeless Unsheltered Count, also known as the Homeless Census. With hundreds of volunteers and partner agencies at our sides, along with the assistance of our consultant, Applied Survey Research, we were able to successfully comb the streets of Monterey and San Benito Counties to count those living on the margins of society. After analysis, these numbers will be published and reported to the congress to be used for future considerations of funding to address our growing homeless issue in our community.

The final report is expected to be released with a few months. Check back later for more information.
