Thank you for your interest in investing in your community’s homeless issue. As you are well aware, resolving homelessness requires an enormous amount of resources, like services, time and money and without people like you, it would be impossible to continue in this fight.

From donating monetary gifts to volunteering or interning, there are many ways to contribute.

Monetary gifts allow the Coalition to utilize unrestricted funds to address unplanned and immediate needs. While the Coalition receives most of our funding from federal, state, county and foundation grants, those funds are highly restrictive and don’t allow for discretion; sometimes resulting in unmet needs. We appreciate your consideration for donating to our organization and the good work we do.

If you would like to contact us to find out more about what we do, please call the Executive Officer at (831) 883-3080.

Bequests

Bequests, or legacy gifts, allows for donors to give substantial one-time gifts by writing their contributions into their will, often times notating a dollar amount or a percentage. Language could be as simple as “I give, devise, and bequeath to the Coalition of Homeless Services Providers, an Seaside, California nonprofit corporation, the sum of ______ Dollars ($_______).”

If you chose to include us in your will, we would love to know about it! Please email us at info@chspmontereycounty.org or give us a call at (831) 883-3080.

Internship

We are pleased to offer internships to college students focusing on Public Administration and Policy. Social Work interns are welcome, however it must be noted that the Coalition focuses on higher level policy analysis, writing and implementation, and interns are less likely to have substantial contact with homeless persons.

Students who are interested in interning with us can contact Roxanne Wilson at rwilson@chspmontereycounty.org for more information.
